It’s Thankgiving Time!

Happy Thanksgiving

It’s hard to believe that it is Thanksgiving time again here in the United States.  Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.  Just think about it, an entire day dedicated to giving thanks.  What a glorious concept!

I know that there are other parts to this exceptional day, family, food, sports and fun however I ask you to take some time and give thanks to your creator for all of the wonderful things in your life.

Take a moment to think about exactly how many people play a part in making this day special for you.  The farmers, the truck drivers, the steel workers, the grocery store workers, the TV set makers, the football players, the electric workers, the gas workers, all the people in the transportation industry, not to mention the people who are in the kitchen so the yummy Thanksgiving dinner can be enjoyed.  The list to thank is endless, yet we often take these people for granted.

Every year when this day rolls around I love to think about all of the blessings that I have received during the year.  For those of you who have ever heard me speak you know I always stress keeping a gratitude journal.  Being thankful for what you already have is the best way I know to stay grounded and increase your awareness of all the good that is constantly around you.  Being grateful for what you already have will change your life.  It will also open your life up so that you can manifest more.

At this time I would like to add my valued readers and my wonderful work from home business team to my list of things I am grateful for.  I take time daily to remember that I am successful because of the wonderful people like you in my life.

Until next time, I wish you the true riches of life, peace, happiness, and time to enjoy it all.

Please take a minute and share what you are thankful for in the comments section of this blog.  I would love to hear your thoughts.

Do You Know That You Know?

A while ago I came across a book called “The Success Formula” by Bob Burg. It is a book that  I recommend you read.  The following story was a particular favorite.  Remember: Things start happening when you come to know that you know, because other people know that you know!
Enjoy:
“Rabbi Yaakov Salomon tells the story of the lawyer arguing a case for his guilty client, who was on trial for murder.

The one challenge in the prosecution’s case was that the body had never been found.  However, the abundance of expertly presented circumstantial evidence was more than compelling.  Everyone in the courtroom, juror included, knew that the man was guilty-so in his closing argument, the clever defense attorney decided to go for broke.

He pointed grandly toward the courtroom doors and declared, “Ladies and gentlemen of the jury:  In exactly 60 seconds, the so-called corpse, the man you believe to be dead, is going to come walking in right through those very doors.  We can being counting now.

The time ticked by: one second, two seconds, three seconds, ten seconds, 20 seconds, 45 seconds, 55 seconds, 56, 57, 58, 59.and then, at exactly the one-minute mark, in walked.nobody at all.  Certainly not the corpse.

The lawyer addressed the puzzled jury: “Ladies and gentlemen-I apologize.  I told you something that obviously did not come true.  However the mere fact that you looked at the doors as you did showed me-and shows you-that you had some measure of doubt.  And of course, if you have any doubt, any doubt at all, you must-you must return a verdict of Not Guilty.”

And with a triumphant flourish, he returned to his seat.

The jury went into deliberations-and just five minutes later came back out to render their verdict.  The foreman stood up, faced the judge, and said they declared the defendant.guilty!

The defense attorney was enraged.  “How could you?!” he demanded.  “I saw all of you watching that door!”

The foreman replied, “Yes, sir, you are correct: we were, in fact, watching the door.  But we were also watching you and your client-and you did not watch the door.  Your client did not watch the door, not even for a moment.  And that’s because you both knew there was not a chance in the world that anyone would be walking through it.”

The lesson?  Don’t expect anyone else to believe something you don’t believe yourself!”

Do you believe if you truly do the work you can be successful?
Are you willing to step out in faith and allow your success to manifest?
If what you do for a living was suddenly considered a crime would you be doing enough to get you convicted?

I BELIEVE IN YOU!

How Much Time Do You Spend Arguing For Your Limitations?

How much time do you spend arguing for your own limitations?

I received an email a couple of weeks ago that really got me thinking about how much time many of us spend arguing for our self-imposed limitations.  The women went into great detail why she could not do something that she supposedly really wanted to do.  As I read her email it seemed as if the entire universe was against her.  WOW, that’s a lot of power there.  The best part was that after she listed all of the reasons that she could not move forward she proceeded to tell me that she needed to make this decision so that she could be a good example to her teenage daughter.  Really? Just what example are you setting I wanted to ask?  You just wrote 4 paragraphs defending all of the limitations you believe you have.  You listed all of the reasons that the entire universe is against you.  What exactly is it that you are choosing to teach your child?

Have you ever said any of the following statements to yourself or anyone else?

We just don’t have the money?

I don’t have the time?

I would really like to do ….  but?

That will work for everyone else but it just won’t work for me.

I don’t have the education.

I am not a sales person. – (This one is a whole other article to write about.)

I am too old to change.

If only my husband, wife would……

In my business I hear these comments daily.  In face it is almost comical to hear some people go on and on defending their self-imposed limitations.

There is no greater waste of your time than spending it arguing for your limitations!

I actually had a lady go on and on one day telling me all of the above in a very detailed saga of her life.  She was good; she had every reason in great detail why things in her life don’t work .  She truly believed her own limiting thoughts and was ready to argue them to the death.   At the end of the ten-minute diatribe she finished with I am not making excuses I am just telling you how it is.

I offer you something to think about today and perhaps for the rest of your life.  Every time you find yourself getting into limitation mode you are afraid of something. Yes, all of your supposed limitations are simply fear.  I guarantee that the same wind blows on everyone.  Everyone has times when they fear.  Everyone has times when they feel less than.  Everyone has times when they wonder will this work for me.

The winners decide that they truly want to change something in their life. They know that they are guided by a loving caring Universal Spirit that gave them free will.  They know that free will means they can do anything they choose.  They know that their God does not like anyone else better than it likes them.  With this knowledge and belief they step out in faith with the fist step knowing that the rest will be shown as they take action.  They believe that they can and they do.

The bible tells us that it is done unto us, as we believe.

I believe that you are a winner.  I believe in you. I believe that you can and will do ANYTHING you make up your mind to do.

I wish you the best of all possibilities!
