Do you Want a Good Life Or A Great Life?

Do You Want a Good Life or a Great Life?

How do you learn to move out of your own way?    Learning to dream again and moving your life in the direction that you would like it to go.

As a speaker, business mentor and home-based business owner people tell me quite often that they would like to do this or that, if only they had the time, the money, the education, or the know how.   My question to them is always, do you want a good life or do you want a great life?  You cannot have both.

Having a good life, in my opinion, means that you have food on the table, a warm place to live, and enough money to get by on.  Having a great life means that you are living your dreams, doing being and having what you want.  Living a great life not only affords you an awesome life but it also allows for you to be of service to others with both your time and your finances.  I believe that we were all put on this earth to live a great life.  Of course the meaning of “your great life” will be different from mine and from everyone else’s.  But it is your great life and that is what it is all about.  Using your talents and abilities to the best, for yourself and those around you.  Serving the world from a place of abundance and prosperity.  Using the eternal universal principals of honesty, integrity, kindness, forgiveness, courage, work ethic, spirituality, charity, love, humility, and faith we can all make the world a better place.

When you think about it how does a caterpillar become a butterfly?  This can only happen by his wanting to fly so much that he is willing to give up being a caterpillar.  That is the key to becoming a different you too.  You must be willing to give up the old “stuff” that keeps holding you back.  You must want to change more than you like the comfort and familiarity of what you have right now.

If you want a great life I urge you to find small increments of time in your daily life to make the changes necessary to become or have what you desire.  When we multiply tiny pieces of time with daily effort we too will find that we can accomplish magnificent things.

Can You Make Reliable Residual Income?

Category: article,financial freedom

As I have stated in the past I love the network marketing, home-based business industry.  More millionaires have been created in this venue than in any other.  HOWEVER….that does not mean that all network-marketing businesses are created equal.   There are truly many scams out there and there are many companies that stack the deck for the top people to win as well as the company while the little guy is out there dreaming and working but never getting anywhere financially.

I have studied this industry for over 14 years because I too got sucked into a company because of emotions.  Believe me, it is one of the hardest things to do is admit you were wrong and leave the people you enrolled behind.  I know that, so I am working to help people understand before they spend their money and invest their time.

Today’s topic is going to be on promotional volume.  It is my educated opinion that any company that requires you to pay over $200 for a license or to join is simply using promotional volume as their biggest moneymaker. What I mean by that, is mostly all of the money is made by people coming into the business.  Yes, sometimes the company will even say we don’t pay you for enrolling, but yet as you read through the comp plan the upline is indeed getting paid from all of that money as well as the company is getting a big pay off. That makes it even worse in my opinion.

I just recently sat through a presentation where again I almost fell off my chair.  The company I am speaking about has been struggling for several years because hardly anyone is actually selling their “product”.  Everyone is selling the $499.00 licensing fee. (Promotional Volume) For that you also get the privilege of paying $49.00 a month after you join to maintain your account. Plus you need to pay a hefty fee for additional company training just to be able to sell.  Now, oddly enough this particular company has been struggling – go figure…so now they introduced a “brand new” concept.  This time it is  $249.00 to join and $49.00 a month for company support and customer service.  WOW…I give them credit for a great spin on this fee.

Once again this is promotional volume.  What your job truly is here is to through enough mud up against the wall and see what sticks.

Please do yourself a favor.  Do not join a network marketing business just on the hype alone.  Take the time to do your due diligence.  Take the time to see if the company is really selling products of value or are most people simply signing up distributors.   Keep in mind I do agree that your business is built by finding people who want to do what you do.  What I am saying is for true residual income people must want to buy the products. Most importantly people who are not interested in making money must want to buy the products.  That is when you will see true, reliable, residual income.

I will be writing more on promotional volume soon.

Until next time, I wish you the true riches of life, love, peace, happiness, and the time to enjoy it all.  Carol Briney

Do You Taste Your Food?

This question was asked of me one day as I sat in a hotel restaurant glancing hurriedly at my watch as I ate my lunch.  My mind was far away on my next speaking engagement as I mentally listed and planned all of the projects I needed to have completed before I even arrived home from this event.  My mind was going one hundred miles-a-minute, and I was not thinking about my present situation of eating lunch in the cool, clean, café and enjoying the delicious taste of the food I was eating.  Imagine my surprise when the waitress, an older, yet timeless women asked me, “do you taste your food?”  This question stopped me cold.  I had never thought about it before.  I suddenly realized that although I speak on organizing, simplifying life and learning to say “no thank you” I too had portions of my life that were spinning out of control.  I too had times when I forgot to live in the present moment and just enjoy what was happening right then.  This one thought provoking question gave me a lot to ponder.  How many times do I miss the world going on around me because my mind is onto the next thing on my agenda?  How many opportunities to be of service to someone or just smile and be kind to someone?

It is ironic that it is now so trendy to be “too busy”.  So much of what we are about is doing.  We rush though our days from work, to home, to dinner, to a movie and we never take the time to enjoy any of it.   We often take a strange sort of pride in our busyness.  So much of our sense of worth comes from our busyness. Could it be that we are attaching value to the doing instead of who we are as we are doing it?  How many things are we missing because we are always thinking of what comes next?

It is important to remember that we are called human beings and not human doings.  As a human being, I urge you to move towards a simplified life.  Start thinking about all of the things that you do just because someone, usually the media, told you that you should.  Are
up in the trivialities of life? So many times we buy things, we attend events, we watch movies and television programs, we vacation all because it is trendy or the media told us that is how we should live.  Worse yet, while we are doing and purchasing we are not even enjoying the moment, we are thinking about what we could do next.

As you scrutinize your life and how you spend your time I believe you will realize for yourself what is important is not the quantity of the activities that you participate in, but who you are and what you accomplish by doing them.  It is ok to say no thank you to things that you do not enjoy in your life.  In fact, once you start saying no to the things you really don’t care for you will feel a sense of freedom that you have most likely not felt in years.

Remember the old saying, Stop and Smell the Roses?  I urge you to take the time to do just that.  Our time on this planet is short.  We are here to learn, evolve, and grow spiritually.  In order for this to happen we need to be present.  It is important to enjoy and be grateful for what is unfolding each moment of our lives.

I find it interesting that I have always heard; when the student is ready the teacher appears. I guess I was ready that day in the restaurant, because I have finally realized that time is the only thing I cannot store up during my journey on this planet.  Each minute goes marching by whether I use it or not and that time will never be back. I have learned that it is important to be in the moment.    Spirit spoke to me in that restaurant, yes the words were spoken through a delightful waitress, but it was Spirit all the same.  Take the time to actually taste your food.  You just might be surprised at what you have been missing.

Let me show you how to make money AND have the time to enjoy spending it!

Until next time, I wish you the true riches of life, love, peace, happiness, and the time to enjoy it all.  Carol Briney

It’s Monday Morning, Are You Sitting In Traffic?

Today my question to is What if, Just What If you took a chance and started thinking outside of the box?  What if you allowed yourself to be educated about the Home-Based business Industry?  This industry allows people to have options and choices in their lives.  I can teach people how to not only make money, but how they can also have the time to enjoy the money they make!  What would you be doing right now if you had the time to do it?  What could you do with all of the time you spend getting to and from the office?

I am looking forward to your thoughts!

Have a spectacular day!

I guarentee you this.  On their death bed NO ONE will say I wish I spent more time at the office!
